Als ich beschloss, eine Reise nach Irland zu planen, kontaktierte ich ziemlich viele Reiseberater. Zwischen astronomischen Preisen mit guter Einstellung und niedrigen Preisen mit schrecklichem Kundenservice/Kommunikation fand ich im goirishtours das Beste aus beiden Welten. Wir sind gerade von einer achttägigen Reise durch Irland mit Go Irish Tours zurückgekommen und können gar nicht genug Gutes über diese Erfahrung sagen. Vom ersten Planungsgespräch bis zur Rückfahrt zum Flughafen Dublin verlief alles reibungslos und war gut durchdacht. Kash, unsere Reiseberaterin, war hervorragend. Sie war immer erreichbar, ging geduldig auf unsere Fragen ein und kannte das Land offensichtlich in- und auswendig. Als wir um Änderungen baten, kümmerte sie sich ohne großes Aufhebens darum. Wenn ihr eine Reise plant, fragt ausdrücklich nach ihr. Die Route führte uns von Dublin hinunter nach Kinsale, weiter nach Killarney, hinauf nach Galway und dann hinüber nach Trim, bevor es wieder nach Hause ging. Jedes Hotel und jede Pension auf der Liste war ein Volltreffer. Wir haben eine Änderung vorgenommen, um im G Hotel in Galway ein Upgrade zu erhalten, und das war ein echter Genuss. Auch hier war Kash zur Stelle, um zu helfen und die Buchung zu ermöglichen. Eines sollte direkt angesprochen werden: Wenn ihr vor eurer Reise Reiseforen lest, werdet ihr viele Warnungen zum Autofahren in Irland finden. Schmale Straßen, Linksverkehr, Hecken, nervöse Amerikaner und so weiter. Ehrlich gesagt ist es gar nicht so schlimm, wie es die Leute darstellen. Die Straßen sind gut ausgeschildert, der Verkehr ist überschaubar, sobald man Dublin hinter sich gelassen hat, und nach den ersten ein oder zwei Stunden geht es ganz von selbst. Lass dich von diesem Gerede nicht davon abhalten, einen Mietwagen zu nehmen. Das war das Einzige, worüber ich mir am meisten Sorgen gemacht habe, und dass Go Irish Tours die Buchung übernommen hat, hat mir beim eigentlichen Fahren viel Stress erspart. Wir bekamen ein Auto von ordentlicher Größe (mit Automatik!) und hatten keinerlei Probleme mit unserem Gepäck. Das Essen war ein weiteres Highlight. Jeden Morgen ein Full Irish Breakfast, frische Meeresfrüchte in Kinsale, ein richtiges Pint im Guinness Storehouse (und natürlich auch an anderen Orten) sowie herzhafte Pub-Abendessen in Killarney und Galway. Wir hatten während der gesamten Reise keine einzige schlechte Mahlzeit. Der English Market in Cork ist einen ausgiebigen, gemächlichen Rundgang wert, wenn man auch nur im Geringsten ein Feinschmecker ist. So gut wie jeder, den wir getroffen haben – vom Hotelpersonal über Ladenbesitzer bis hin zu unseren verschiedenen Schlossführern – war freundlich und nahm sich viel Zeit für uns. Das ist keine Kleinigkeit, wenn man an einen neuen Ort reist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, und wenn es soweit ist, werden wir erneut über Go Irish Tours buchen.

Gebucht über Christina und sie hat geholfen, alle Hotels, das Auto, die Eventtickets und sogar zufällige vorgeschlagene Artikel, die uns gefallen könnten, zu arrangieren. Der von ihr erstellte Reiseplan war großartig und sie hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir Zeit für die Reise zwischen den Orten hatten und die Möglichkeit, vom Plan abzuweichen und zusätzliche Stopps einzulegen. Es gibt einfach so viel in Irland zu sehen!!!

GoIrish hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Organisation war von der Autovermietung über die Eintrittskarten bis hin zu unseren B&B-Unterkünften tadellos. Während unserer 12-tägigen Reise waren alle B&Bs entsprechend der verschiedenen Orte erstklassig. Meine Frau und ich sind im Laufe der Jahre viel gereist und diese Unterkünfte wären auch von uns ausgewählt worden, wenn wir die Buchungsverantwortung gehabt hätten. Wir sind gestern erst nach Hause zurückgekehrt und diese Reise wird eine unserer unvergesslichsten bleiben (ganz zu schweigen davon, dass das Wetter während der gesamten Reise hervorragend war). Ein großes Lob an Isaac, der das alles zusammengestellt hat und sehr schnell auf Bedenken, Änderungen oder Ergänzungen zu unserer Reiseroute reagiert hat.

Ian von GoIrish Tours hat sich sehr gut um unsere Wünsche gekümmert, die sich über 2 Wochen in Irland erstreckten. Wir haben Go Irish Tours genutzt und gemeinsam mit Christina unsere Irlandreise geplant, und ich kann sie gar nicht genug empfehlen. Nach einem einzigen Gespräch darüber, was wir uns wünschten, machte sie sich sofort an die Arbeit und stellte eine unglaubliche Reiseroute zusammen. Sie hat uns die besten Unterkünfte vermittelt – fantastische B&Bs, tolle Stadthotels und sogar einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in einem Schloss. Und ich bin ehrlich – ich bin nicht gerade der einfachste Kunde –, aber sie hat alles makellos gemeistert. Ursprünglich hatten wir vor, auch Schottland mit einzubeziehen, und sie erklärte uns ausführlich, warum das aufgrund saisonaler Schließungen nicht ideal wäre. Das hätte ich bei eigener Planung niemals gewusst, und es hat uns davor bewahrt, einen großen Fehler zu begehen. Dieses Maß an Fachwissen und Ehrlichkeit ist unbezahlbar. Sie war unglaublich gründlich und es war einfach, mit ihr zusammenzuarbeiten – per E-Mail, Telefon und sogar per Video-Chat, um Details zu besprechen. Das Verrückteste daran? Uns wurde klar, dass sie uns bereits 2022 bei der Planung unserer ersten Irlandreise geholfen hatte (die für 2020 geplant war, aber erst 2022 stattfinden konnte). Sie war während der Corona-Pandemie, als der Reiseverkehr zum Erliegen kam, weggegangen und erst seit etwa einem Monat wieder da, als wir sie wiederfanden. Es fühlte sich wirklich wie Schicksal an. Als unser Flug aus den USA gestrichen wurde und wir zwei Tage unserer Reise verloren, sprang sie sofort ein und half uns dabei, alles zusammenzutragen, was wir für die Reiseversicherung und die Rückerstattungen der Fluggesellschaft brauchten. Es war stressig und chaotisch, aber jemanden an unserer Seite zu haben, machte den entscheidenden Unterschied. Einer der ganz besonderen Momente unserer Reise war es, Christina am St. Patrick’s Day in Galway persönlich auf ein Pint zu treffen. Sie ist im echten Leben genauso liebenswert wie bei der Zusammenarbeit – herzlich, aufrichtig und ein absoluter Juwel von einem Menschen. Es fühlte sich weniger so an, als würden wir unsere Reiseberaterin treffen, sondern eher so, als würden wir uns mit einer alten Freundin treffen. Allein dieser Moment ließ das ganze Erlebnis noch persönlicher wirken, und es fühlte sich wirklich so an, als hätten wir eine lebenslange Verbundenheit aufgebaut. Die Möglichkeit, die Zahlungen in Raten zu leisten, war ebenfalls ein riesiger Pluspunkt. Ich kann Go Irish Tours wärmstens empfehlen – und rate ganz besonders dazu, ausdrücklich nach Christina zu fragen. After spending many hours trying to plan a first ever family trip to Ireland and questioning every decision I was making, divine intervention occurred with a link to the Go Irish Tour company. Clicking on that link and being introduced to Sophie had been the best decision I could have made! However, my three days in Mullingar - home to Niall Horan, my FAVORITE artist on the planet - was so special and that is a place I truly could live. I have already recommended Donna to a friend of mine, and the good Lord willing - I will return to Ireland one day and see more of this lovely Emerald Isle. Ian was wonderful to work with while planning our trip to Ireland. He designed a personalized self-driving tour tailored to our dates, interests, and needs. The video he created highlighting the sights along the way was a thoughtful and special touch.

My wife and I wanted to go to Ireland for our honeymoon and I found Go Irish Tours online. I contacted them for a quote and we worked out the details. Donna was very accommodating as I kept changing my mind on the number of nights, but we finalized at 9 nights and she sent me a prospective itinerary and cost. The price was great and we sent a deposit. Donna was great when I made a couple of changes to the rental car and added some attractions to my itinerary later on. As we were 3 weeks from the date of our arrival, we hadn't heard from Donna for the finalized itinerary or payment, so I reached out. It took a couple of days for a response, but I got the final itinerary and a couple of the hotels had changed from the original quote. I was a little concerned as I had made plans based on the original hotels. Also, the price went up since the hotels had changed. Donna said it was because of availability, but I think that it shouldn't have been a problem because I paid my deposit more than a year in advance of the travel. It wasn't a deal breaker, as I understand prices change over that time period, but at the time it was a little frustrating. Ultimately, the hotels we were booked in were fantastic. The best stay was Crystal Springs B&B in Killarney. The hostess was amazing and the location was beautiful. Overall, I think Donna did a great job and was helpful making changes to our itinerary. It was wonderful to know that Donna and the team at Go Irish Tours were there in case we needed anything during our travels, as well. Some recommendations: Don't book your rental car for while you are in Dublin, pick it up the day you leave the city. That worked out great for us! Have Go Irish Tours book some of your attractions in Dublin. Go to Trinity College and get the tour! Do a food tour in Galway! Don't overbook yourself, leave time to relax and enjoy the country! My only complaint is that response times leading up to the trip were sometimes days, but everything was eventually handled. Sophie planned a wonderful vacation for my husband and me. We had a few remote calls during the planning and she incorporated all of our requests in our itinerary. She initially priced two different options as we were undecided about some details. The rental car and hotels were booked and ready when we arrived. The hotels were all very nice and we loved having our breakfasts included. Sophie had helpful suggestions for adding stops on our way. I am so happy with the services that were provided to me and my friend for our travel around Ireland. Donna went above and beyond our expectations. We wanted to travel the whole south side, driving From Dublin, down the coast and back up to Galway before heading back to Dublin. I cannot explain how beautiful every place we stayed was right from the start. We stayed in both hotels and B & B’s for our vacation. Darkey Kelly’s in Dublin was perfectly located, amazing staff, and food was so good. Donna made suggestions based on our conversation, chose amazing stops, booked everything and answered any questions we had. We went to church’s, castles, a Viking interactive session, saw the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Galway and so much more. We will be going back to Ireland and taking a similar vacation in the next few years and my first call will be to Donna and Go Irish Tours.

I am highly impressed with Go Irish Tours. I’m so glad I went through this company for my first visit to Ireland. I will definitely use them when I plan my next trip to Ireland. This Agency provides a very detailed itinerary for you to follow. They provide an additional booklet that gives you more attractions if you shall have the time to go to those. For all of my hotel days, they put me on the list for breakfast so it was so easy just to eat in the morning before I started my activities for the day. Everything went so smoothly. I did not have one hiccup at all. Checking into hotels and attending the events that were on their vouchers that they provided based on my itinerary went as expected. My travel agent was always available when I needed assistance or had questions. While I enjoyed looking at the cathedrals, castles, and the scenic attractions, I most appreciated driving around the island looking at how the people lived within each community. Looking at the farms, houses, and the schools made the trip way more personal to me. I did not want to be part of a large tour group. It was great not to be bothered with a group of people (who I didn’t know) looking at the main attractions. The small things were equally important. The one area of caution I will say is that you do need to purchase the extended car insurance accidental rate from your rental car agency if you are not used to driving on the left. This travel agency only will get you a rental vehicle for the basic insurance. In America, we drive on the right, and I did get into a car accident and had to utilize the insurance as there is a little learning curve on how to drive on the opposite side. I will absolutely use Go Irish Tours in the future to book my trips for myself and my family.

Well, so far I give this business a 5-star rating. Specifically this rating is because of Christina Johnson. There are three couples who are going on this trip to Ireland, and one of our group is the person who has been communicating with her, asking all the questions, and setting up this trip. There were a few changes, lots of questions, and she handled them with care, patience, understanding, and just being an all-around nice person. Plus, she also sent us a really nice video explaining our trip and some of the different activities that we will be doing. When it came time to put down a deposit, I called her, and she was very nice and calmed my fears. I can't wait to travel to Ireland and go to the places that she picked out for us!
